Warm timber kitchen with a dining place
A kitchen that carries on as wall panelling: the same timber surface holds the run, the storage and the table.
About the project
The kitchen sits along a passage – visible from the living room, but with no room of its own. Rather than hide it, we built it into a continuous timber wall.
The same solid-timber surface runs from the tall units through the transition to the back wall of the dining area. Where the kitchen ends and the panelling begins is deliberately unreadable.
The corners are generously rounded so nothing catches in the narrow passage. The white solid-surface worktop joins the sink without a seam.
