Cream island kitchen with granite
A warm cream, a lively granite slab and an island that serves as hob and table at once.
About the project
A bright new build with floor-to-ceiling windows. The kitchen had to be present without darkening the room.
We lacquered the fronts in a warm cream and carried the wall units up to the ceiling – producing a calm surface rather than a row of separate cupboards. The black shadow gap between the bands structures the wall.
The granite slab, with its lively figure, is deliberately the only pattern in the room. It covers the island and continues as a splashback behind the run.
